Bringing Vines to the Valley Oral Histories
This collection features four videos compiled from oral interviews conducted with David Adelsheim, Dick Erath, Diana Lett, Dick and Nancy Ponzi, Myron Redford, and Susan Sokol Blosser. The basic themes focused on the early years of growing wine grapes in the post-Prohibition Willamette Valley region. These include discussions of the early years (approximate time period 1965-1980) and the developing community of wine-makers, the land use planning efforts in designating Oregon hillsides for agricultural use, and early views of sustainability.
