Bringing Vines to the Valley

Project Description and Goals

Bringing Vines to the Valley was a collaborative research project and physical exhibit completed in the summer of 2010, funded by the Erath Family Foundation. It served as a pilot project for the Linfield Center for the Northwest's then-anticipated Oregon Wine History Project™. The goal of Bringing Vines to the Valley was to tell the story of early winemakers in the Willamette Valley, from approximately 1965 to 1980. The online presentation derives from a physical exhibit made up of text panels, photographs, and physical objects, part of which was displayed at the 2010 International Pinot Noir Celebration. A larger exhibit was on display at Nicholson Library through October 2010.
