Abstract
This interview is an oral history conducted by Linfield College archivist Rich Schmidt with Moe and Hanna Momtazi of Maysara Winery. The interview took place at Maysara Winery in McMinnville, Oregon on December 5, 2017.
Moe Momtazi is the owner of Maysara Winery, where daughter Hanna Momtazi oversees sales, marketing, and events. In this interview, Moe talks about immigrating to the United States from Iran and why he decided to join the Oregon wine industry. Hanna discusses growing up in the wine industry, why she decided to join the family business, and the importance of event planning at the winery. Moe, who is a member of the Board of Trustees at Linfield College, and Hanna, who is a Linfield alum, both explain the importance of the college to them and to the community.
