Abstract
This interview is an oral history conducted by Linfield College archivist Rich Schmidt with Sheri Hood of The Pressing Plant. The interview took place at Hood's home on July 18, 2019.
Sheri Hood is the owner and winemaker at The Pressing Plant. In the interview, Hood talks about how she got into wine, as well as her experiences in the music industry. She discusses her education at the University of California, Davis, her travels, the decision to start her own label, her winemaking philosophy, and marketing strategies. Hood also describes similarities between the music and wine industries, offers advice to those looking to get into the wine industry, and reflects on the future of the industry.
