Description
I created a business plan and prototype for a magazine called the Metalhead Magazine that is geared towards hard rock and heavy metal enthusiasts. The motivation behind this project is to demonstrate my passion for and ability to write about music and to showcase magazine production management and graphic design skills, which I have acquired through Linfield’s Mass Communication program. I have created informative and entertaining media content (which is the magazine itself), analyzed and evaluated media content (the articles and layout of other music magazines), and have shown that I understand the structures and functions of mediated communication in cultures (in this case, the “metal community” subculture).
