Description
This project is an integrated marketing communications program for Juliette’s House, a McMinnville nonprofit organization. Juliette’s House provides services for children and parents who are affected by child abuse. The main focus of the organization is on ensuring the safety and future success of the children who come through the doors. I worked closely with the directors to understand their vision for the organization and used my knowledge from mass communication courses to develop an effective communication plan that could be implemented immediately. The IMC program entails advertising and public relations designed to increase community members’ knowledge of the domestic-abuse prevention programs provided by Juliette’s House and the ways that someone can support the organization. Elements of the communications program include a calendar for the Facebook page, Facebook posts, flyers to promote Child Abuse Prevention Month, a new WordPress blog, and a strategic communication guidebook for the directors. These efforts resulted in an increase in the number of followers on the organization’s Facebook page. At this point, our Facebook engagement has grown and the community outreach events, such as the Child Abuse Prevention Walk, have seen a great amount of participation.
