Description

Two-dimensional materials have recently become the subject of intensive scientific research. Graphene, a single atomic layer of carbon, is at the forefront of two-dimensional materials research. The process of creating graphene devices has been explored. We have placed graphene flakes on a silicon substrate using the process of mechanical exfoliation. Superconducting leads were fabricated using electron beam lithography to form a junction across the graphene flake. Electrical connections were fabricated to allow a variety of measurements to be taken across the junction, including current and voltage.
