Abstract
What does it mean to be a sports fan in the digital era? Digital technologies such as social media, live Web streams, and smart-phone apps have changed the experience of being a sports fan, allowing fans greater access to their favorite athletes and teams—and to each other. What issues do these new technologies raise for athletes, teams, leagues, journalists, and fans? An expert panel discusses these issues, followed by a question and answer session.
