Abstract
As part of a series of events celebrating Gender Equity Week at Linfield College, Cynthia Enloe (research professor in the Department of International Development, Community, and Environment and adjunct professor of political science at Clark University) delivers a lecture on what is remembered and forgotten about the Iraq War. In her talk, she focuses on U.S. presumptions about Iraqi women and how remaining alert to their ideas and efforts might make U.S. citizens smarter about wars in general and about U.S. involvement in war.
