Abstract
This interview is an oral history conducted by Linfield College archivist Rich Schmidt with John Paul of Cameron Winery. The interview took place at Cameron Winery in Dundee, Oregon on June 20, 2018.
John Paul is the owner/founder and winemaker at Cameron Winery. In this interview, Paul discusses how he took a chance on both the wine industry and Oregon after leaving an academic career in marine biochemistry. He talks about the story of the vineyard, upcoming projects, and the challenges of starting a winery in the 1980s. Paul concludes the interview with his thoughts on the future of wine and advice for potential business owners.
