Abstract

This interview with Ofelia Galaviz, formerly of Sokol Blosser Winery, was conducted by Sharon Bailey Glasco, associate professor of history at Linfield College. The interview took place at Galaviz's home in Dayton, Oregon on June 26, 2013.

Ofelia Galaviz worked as part of the vineyard team at Sokol Blosser Winery. In this interview, Galaviz discusses how she came to Oregon and began working at Sokol Blosser. She also talks about her family and the kind of work she did while at Sokol Blosser. Galaviz was interviewed as part of the Beyond the Vines: Latinos in the Oregon wine industry project, an exhibit created by Linfield College students Julian Adoff and Lydia Heins as part of the Keck Summer Collaborative Research Program under the auspices of the Linfield Center for the Northwest.
