Abstract
This interview is an oral history conducted by Linfield College archivist Rachael Cristine Woody with Jim McDaniel of McDaniel Vineyard. The interview took place at the McDaniel family home on September 17, 2015.
Jim McDaniel was the first person to help winemaker David Lett make his first vintage before anyone else had even started. In this interview, he talks about how he started helping Lett, his own involvement in the wine industry, and where he believes the Oregon wine industry is going.
