Description
Ronni Lacroute is photographed during an oral history interview at the Jereld R. Nicholson Library at Linfield College in McMinnville, Oregon on March 17, 2017. Lacroute was interviewed by Linfield College archivist Rich Schmidt and student assistant Stephanie Hofmann.
Ronni and Bernard Lacroute are the founders of WillaKenzie Estate, named for the Willakenzie sedimentary soil present on the estate. The couple purchased a 420-acre cattle farm in 1991, began planting vines in 1992, and produced their first wines in their multi-level, gravity-flow winery in 1995. WillaKenzie Estate specializes in Pinot Noir grown in the Burgundian style; it was purchased in 2016 by Jackson Family Wines.
