Abstract

This harvest report for the Oregon wine industry from 2014 explains how growers and winemakers experienced a nearly perfect season, resulting in exceptional quality and high yields for much of the state. Some sites were impacted by a freeze in December of 2013, however, which resulted in some vine and bud damage in select areas. The record for heat accumulation during the 2014 growing season was broken due to higher than normal overnight temperatures throughout the year.
