This interview is an oral history conducted by Linfield College archivist Rich Schmidt with Eric Asimov, wine critic for the New York Times. The interview took place at the Jereld R. Nicholson Library at Linfield College in McMinnville, Oregon on July 28, 2017.
In this interview, Asimov talks about the challenges of writing about wine, as well as wine regions around the world that excite him. He also discusses the current wine culture in the United States and the future of the wine industry both across the U.S. and more specifically in Oregon.
