Abstract

In the 2019 Jane Claire Dirks-Edmunds lecture, Dr. Michael Breed (professor emeritus of ecology and evolutionary biology at the University of Colorado Boulder) discusses his research related to the conservation of pollinators, specifically bees. Breed explores the behavior of social insects, including kin recognition, nest defense, and division of labor in honeybees.
