Description
Good Samaritan nursing students practice eye examination techniques at Linfield College.
In 1890, Emily Loveridge opened the first school of nursing in the Pacific Northwest at Good Samaritan Hospital in Portland, Oregon. After the merger between Good Samaritan Hospital and Linfield College in 1982, the nursing program broadened to include a Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree.
