Description
President Harry Dillin presents Edith Green with an honorary doctorate at the 1964 Linfield College graduation ceremony in the Oak Grove. Green was an educator who served 10 terms in the U.S. House of Representatives from 1955-1974, representing Oregon's 3rd Congressional District; she played a key role in passing Title IX legislation to help advance equality in education. Green also served on Linfield's Board of Trustees.
