Abstract

In the fall of 2016 I applied for and received a faculty development grant for a course release in the fall of 2017; during this time, I proposed to finish and continue edits on my novel-in-progress, Ever These Bull Mountains. I am pleased to say that I was able to finish a draft of the novel in the winter of 2017; that initial draft was bought by Little, Brown, and Company of New York for publication in January 2019. Across the summer and fall of 2017, then, my work was revising and editing that first draft. While some edits still remain, I finished the bulk of the major revisions during the grant period this past fall. Along with many other changes, the novel is now titled Fall Back Down When I Die.
