Description
This hand-drawn map created by Dr. Jane Claire Dirks-Edmunds shows Hectare 17 and part of Hectare 16 at her Saddleback Mountain research site. This map was most likely created while researching her doctoral thesis comparing the Douglas fir forest on Saddleback to an oak-hickory forest in Illinois.
Dr. Dirks-Edmunds graduated from Linfield College in 1937; she returned to teach in the Biology department at Linfield from 1941-1974.
