Description
My collection of creative non-fiction essays titled The Middle of Fucking Nowhere outlines the quaint yet rough-around-the-edges lifestyle that often comes with living in a small town. This collection follows several threads, the most potent themes being the experience of growing up in Humboldt County, California, and how a family copes with the thirteen-year imprisonment of a beloved brother and son.
My presentation opens with a PowerPoint that provides background and context about my essay collection. It closes with a reading of several carefully selected passages from the collection.
