Description
An exploration on grief in adolescence and beyond, Cerulean Butte centers around the death of a sibling and how the effects of said trauma permeate through all aspects of life, from maintaining relationships to performing mundane tasks. The memoir also explores the nature of silence in grief, and how it molds the grieving being into forms broken and resilient. Here, death's aftermath is exhumed as both a slow-burning trauma and a sudden crack in the earth.
