Description
The beneficial properties of magnetorheological (MR) fluids are applied in the design and testing of a prototype suspension system. Because MR fluids become more viscous under the influence of a magnetic field, a suspension shock absorber containing MR fluid is proposed. The shock system tested displayed resistance to motion with respect to the magnetic field strength.
