PLACE Historical Documents
The Program for Liberal Arts and Civic Engagement (PLACE) connects the Linfield University student experience with interdisciplinary inquiry across the liberal arts and real-world application. The program aims to develop Linfield students as thinkers and leaders who are able to listen, to empathize, and to think critically and creatively about complex social issues. Information on the current PLACE activities is available on the program’s website. The documents in this collection represent historical documentation of the program dating back to its beginning during the 2012-13 academic year. Included are lists of participating faculty, staff, and students and their PLACE-related projects or courses; information on PLACE events; and newsletters shared with the campus community about the program.
