Abstract

This interview is an oral history conducted by Linfield College archivist Rachael Cristine Woody with Scott Henry of Henry Estate Winery. The interview took place at Henry Estate Winery on June 7, 2013 and covered topics including early wine industry history in Douglas County and the recounting of Scott Henry's involvement in the industry.

In the interview, Henry describes what led to his invention of the Scott Henry Trellis system, used worldwide. Henry remembers Richard Sommer and the early winemakers of the area, and he discusses how he has seen Southern Oregon develop in terms of community and identity.
