Viticulture and Oenology
Alan Ingram and Dick O'Brien help to implement Lyre trellising in August of 1985 for Chardonnay grapes planted in 1984 at Elton Vineyards in Salem, Oregon. The Lyre trellis system was developed by Dr. Alain Corbonneau in the 1980s in Bordeaux, France. It is employed for high-yielding vineyards.
