Volume 5, Number 2 (2008) Fall 2008
How do students learn? It’s not an easy question, but we tackle one aspect by exploring how psychology students identify research projects that often lead to their life’s work. But students learn in a variety of ways. At an archaeology field school on Parrett Mountain near Newberg, students search artifacts from a little known camp used by Chinese immigrants. One professor sparks the creative talents of local children through a writing camp geared for elementary students. We also feature one of Linfield’s newer professors who was recognized for his prolific writing and research. And we take a closer look at one of our alumni who has worked tirelessly behind the scenes supporting and promoting his alma mater. Join us as we share just a few stories of the many that make up the fabric of Linfield College.
