Abstract
In this episode, Chris Gaiser (professor of biology at Linfield College) and Mike Crosser (professor of physics at Linfield College) discuss nuclear power. Uranium can be split into lighter elements through a process called fission. When this happens, energy is released, which can be collected and turned into electrical power.
This episode references content discussed in Episode 011, which further explains how electrical power is produced.
