Artist's Statement
Our project is a rendition of a roller coaster that is a metaphor for the process of life. We all have our highs and lows but also have the strong foundations of friends and family to support us through the bumpy ride. The piece itself has qualities of organized chaos that are shown through the symmetry of the pillars and the organic chaos in the irregularity of the track. Throughout the process, our group collaborated in the generation of the concept and the fabrication of the actual piece. We all made separate parts and in the end they came together much like how we all hope our lives will.
