Abstract

A "Best in Class, International Category, Award of Distinction" was awarded to Phillip DeVito and Salishan Lodge in 1988 at the World of Wines Festival at the Ritz-Carlton Hotel in Laguna Niguel, California. DeVito's wine collection at Salishan (in Gleneden Beach, Oregon) won many such awards during his 22 years as maître d’hôtel and cellar master for the fine dining and wine program.
