A Linfield-Good Samaritan School of Nursing student attends to a newborn at Good Samaritan Hospital in Portland, Oregon. Neonatal is just one of several areas of clinical practice in which Linfield College nursing students gain experience.
The Good Samaritan Hospital School of Nursing, founded by Emily Loveridge in 1890, was the first nursing school in the Pacific Northwest. In 1982, Good Samaritan Hospital and Linfield College joined forces to form the Linfield-Good Samaritan School of Nursing.
