Abstract
This issue of Linfield Magazine was produced at an extraordinary time. While the institution prepares to enter a new era as Linfield University, it also has been coming to terms with the current world order: a time in which the painful realities of racism and the invisible threat of a pandemic have unleashed stress beyond measure. Our choice of a matte black background and gold “U” on this cover reflects the dichotomy of these times and the hope for brighter days ahead.
