Abstract
In this faculty lecture, Lex Runciman (professor of English at Linfield College) and Ron Mills de Pinyas (professor of art at Linfield College) discuss improvisation, inspiration, and the value of art and writing at an intellectual institution. Runciman and Mills de Pinyas talk about how they start their work and the flow of their respective processes. Mills de Pinyas shows a montage of images from three series, including mural work, commissions, and studio paintings; Runciman shares poems of previous work. Linfield alumna Marit Berning (class of 2015) serves as moderator for the discussion.
