Description
A hand-drawn map created by Dr. Jane Claire Dirks-Edmunds shows her Saddleback Mountain research site. This map was most likely created while she researched her doctoral thesis comparing the Douglas fir forest at Saddleback with an oak-hickory forest in Illinois.
Dr. Dirks-Edmunds graduated from Linfield College in 1937; she returned to teach in the Biology department at Linfield from 1941-1974.
