Artist's Statement

As a person one can achieve only imperfect balance because perfection is unachievable. The development came from the principles of pattern and repetition with the emphasis of the dragon to symbolize power. The symmetrical planes carry on even when sometimes it seems like the whole sculpture should barely be able to stand.

At first we conceived it as a temple where visitors could come and gain a feeling of hope and prosperity for many years to come. Also, our sculpture puts into perspective how large the sky is compared to each one of us as individuals on Earth.

It also kinda looks like a rocket.
