Artist's Statement
The Privilege View demonstrates my concern for naturalistic rendering of the human form, as well as with unusual, yet intimate, perspectives. The viewer is engulfed by the tightly focused, larger-than-life figure in the painting, forcing a scrutinizing gaze upon a normally banal and private moment.
