Description
Theatre majors Melory Mirashrafi and Antoine Johnson perform audition scenes presented at the February 2018 Irene Ryan acting competition as part of the Region VII Kennedy Center American College Theatre Festival held in Spokane, Washington. Mirashrafi won the nomination for the acting competition for her portrayal of Ada Lovelace in Linfield College Theatre’s November 2017 production of Ada and the Engine by Lauren Gunderson. Johnson was her acting partner. From a field of 251 undergraduate and graduate actors, Mirashrafi advanced to the semi-final round featuring 32 actors. A brief discussion of the audition process follows the performance.
