Abstract

This interview is an oral history conducted by Linfield College archivist Rich Schmidt with Jim Prosser of J.K. Carriere. The interview took place at J.K. Carriere in Newberg, Oregon on August 31, 2017.

Jim Prosser is the owner and winemaker at J.K. Carriere. In this interview, Prosser talks about why he chose the land, the varietal Pinot Noir, and the name for his winery. He then discusses the good and the bad of running a small, family winery, as well as the different organizations to which he belongs and the future of the winery.
