Abstract

This interview is with Dyson DeMara, winemaker at HillCrest Vineyard, the location of Oregon's first commercially planted Pinot Noir. DeMara discusses how he got into the wine industry, his experiences over the years, vineyard techniques, and specifics about different locations that he has worked at internationally. He is joined in the interview by his wife, Susan Demara, co-owner of HillCrest Vineyard, who adds clarifying points throughout.
