Bob McRitchie put his background in biology to work, working in a laboratory for the California wine industry before being hired as the winemaker at Sokol Blosser Winery in Dayton, Oregon in 1977. He spent the rest of his career in the Oregon wine industry before retiring in McMinnville, Oregon.
